The powerful Mali-400 GPU has got its successor - Mali-T600, the second generation GPU from ARM . The Mali T600 series is designed smartphones , tablets and smart TVs and scalable from 4 to 8 cores .
The Mali-T624 has upto 4 cores , while the more powerful variant T-628 can go up to 8 cores . Both these GPUs are targeted for smartphones and smart TVs . For tablets , there is even more powerful T678 , which is four times more powerful than T624 , thanks to increased ALU support .
ARM has partnered with manufacturers like MediaTek and Rockchip as well to utilize the new T600 series GPUs in various devices . Samsung will also be bringing these new GPUs to its future Exynos chipsets .
