PC Peripherals Array of keys stopped working

I have a Cosmic byte Titan RGB keyboard, its been loyal to me through all the spills/dust etc. today suddenly a array of keys stopped working (Keys F1/1/w/s/x to be precise). this is a solid keyboard with all aluminum body , this is a membrane keyboard and not mechanical . I have popped the keys and cleaned the sockets but no use. funny thing is every other key is working just fine. Any idea how to troubleshoot this?

A membrane keyboard can get dust inside the two layers and make the keys to not respond. If you're confident enough, you can try to take it apart and clean the contacts and the membrane layer first with something dry (blower, microfiber cloth) and if that does not work, then applying some IPA on the contacts that are not responding. Typically dry cleaning should be enough though.

It does not seem like an issue with the logic board because then it would not have registered any key strokes at all.

I bought Cooler Master MS110 Gaming Keyboard & Mouse Combo in 2019 and they are still working great until now though I replaced the keys of the KB in 2022 and cleaned it well. Don't ever go with cheap Chinese rebranded keyboards or mouses and feel sorry after they stop working even after couple of months or years.

Thanks for the information ,FYI Cosmic Byte is not Chinese company, its Indian company .The CEO of Cosmic Byte is Ronak Gupta. but yes if the major partner is china so there is very high probability that my KB is a Chinese product:confused:

I have purchased a Ant esport KB for time being. will open and clean my Titan and then report back with results.

They didn't say Chinese company, they said Chinese rebranded keyboards and mice, which is exactly what they are and even your screenshot supports that.

In fact, most "Indian" peripheral brands are that only; Indian in name only and the actual products are cheap Chinese stuff that's been rebranded.

Everything is India owned by Indians but imported from China so does that make it " Made in India" and that too bought in bulk for cheap & rebranded here and sold to us.
Even my wife's uncle has pesticide & insecticide factories in IDA Jeedimetla in Hyderabad by name Zen Crop Care. The raw materials are imported from Shanghai, China.

agreed. over the time i have used almost all famous brands, microsoft/logitech / Razer/Corsiar /Steelseries etc.The best i ever had was steel series apex kb & rivel mouse. my rivel 100 still going steady after 6 years . Now I am actually thinking who not go for the best, TVS Gold or Champ. Pure mechanical keyboard ,total peace of mind .

Yes wisely chosen. TVS has both Mechanical and Membrane Keyboards & Mouse. Even wireless combos. I have used Microsoft, Corsair & now Cooler Master since I started using PCs.

guys i think the topic has derailed from technical issue to india vs china . BTW tesla and apple products are made in china but no way cheap quality ......so lets stop here and get back to the issue in hand.

Open your keyboard and clean it with IPA on the contacts that are not responding and put it in sunlight for a day and then check if those keys are working or not. okay.
If still those keys aren't responding then it must be the problem of the logic board. It's better to buy another one rather going in for a repair.
