ASIANET CABLE broadband sucks... help

Hi...
we bought a new asianet cable broadband connection.... tried to download movies thru torrent and the speed is a pathetic 40 kbps....
browsing speed is fine.... how to increase the download speeed,?
HELP... portforwading...?

^ They seem to be trottling torrent speeds. Best option is to use http links, like Rapidshare, Megaupload etc.

Torrents from private trackers with many seeds work fine, I get around 350-400 kBps when using good torrents and 475+ kBps on direct http links.

You're in ekm. why not try airtel etc?

^ But their plan is pretty good. The Homenet 475, I can download 10 GB every night from 2-8.

I too have Asianet BB line, plan 950/- with 4 Mbps speed and night 12:00 to 8:00 free.

Im getting speeds of 440~480 KBps in torrents and im able to d/l min of 14~15GB per night. (even crosses 16GB mark some night)

Gte an account on private torrent site like iptorrents and the speeds will hit the roof. Speeds from public torrents is pathetic.
