CPU/Mobo ASRock Ion 330 - Ion for the masses

Wow. 650$ or ~Rs.32,000 gets you a BluRay playing HTPC the size of a Wii! And with its capabilities you should be able to play all pre-2008 games easily (9400m, 2GB, dual-core) at 1280x720 resolutions. Not bad at all!

Of course, it can only go further down in price. Which is great for anybody!

Still, I would rather go for performance rather than form factor when such a lot of money is at stake. A much more capable HTPC can be built for much less.

Have you built a HTPC till date for yourself? If you have it would be great to have the component breakup for costs and sources for hardware - especially the casing.
I ask because u r from Calcutta/Kolkata.
