Hey folks, how do you do? XD i'm looking forward to buy assassins creed 3 and play it on this rig.. Intel pentium dual core e2180 @ 2.0GHz sapphire ati radeon hd6670 1gb ddr3 3gb ram ddr2 667MHz Win 7 Ultimate x64 i ran ac: revelations, resident evil 6, crysis 3 and max payne 3 on 1440x900 on high settings.. No AA though.. I also ran gta IV (YES GTA IV) on 1440x900 medium settings.. (i'm not joking).. I applied 1.4 patch though! So guys .. Should i buy it?
Thanks!

If you get playable framerates in Crysis 3 you should be fine in AC3. It's not a game known for it's graphics, although the big cities will probably pull down your fps somewhat.

1st of all.. I wrote crysis 3 by mistake.. Its actually crysis 2..
2nd of all.. How to solve the fps problem in boston?

IIRC, AC3 was a bad console port. There were lagging issues in parts even with really good systems. The issues were possibly patched later on but I doubt that.

Moreover the game wasn't all that great, it got very boring towards the end. IMO you shouldn't buy it unless you get it for really cheap.

I tried AC3 on a C2D E8400 @3.6GHz, 8GB ram with a GTX 465 (unlocked to 470) and it lagged pretty badly. It most definitely won't work too well on your machine. You absolutely need a quad core.

Well I played AC3,Hitman Absolution,Batman Arkham City in Pentium dual core @ 3Ghz with 2 GB RAM and GT220,no lag..!
Cheers..!

Also, OP, this game is very badly optimized. My Overclocked Phenom II 720 BE (3.4 GHz) and AMD 7850 2GB (stock) with 8 GB of RAM cannot play this game. Its a funny game anyways. I loved all the other AC games, but this one is very bad performance wise. When I reached Boston, my PC fell to its knees and begged me to never run this game again.lol,,

So, it doesn't matter what PC you have. You want it, you buy it, and you play it. To each his own. Have fun (if you can)..

Wow..... Are you serious? If I am not wrong, you are talking about pirating the game, right?

even with applying patches, even thanksgiving patch, won't make the game playable..?

Dunno. Never tried. Never bothered with the game after Boston. But, seriously, buy the game if you want to already. Whether it will work for you or not, no one can tell! Godspeed.

I saw videos on youtube playing the game on my cpu with no o.c. at decent framerates...[DOUBLEPOST=1382456530][/DOUBLEPOST]Bump!

Buy it then. It is very difficult to find some one with the exact same configuration as yours to get the answer you are looking for. If you are so concerned, download it off the internet, see if it runs fine and then buy it if it does.
