Dear friends I am planning to build an 5.1 home theatre system My interest is to build or assemble good quality products from diffrent companies like boss, yamha etc..

so my question is it possible and if at all possible what all the component do i need for the setup

i think to setup the speakers in wall

I plan to use 4ohm 10'' subwoofer from boss which is actually a car subwoofer that means it is not powered one

my main concern now is to setup an in wall speaker system may be cheap my maximum budget for this is 10k i don't mind in using cheap speakers now since i can upgrade them in future one by one.

Dear friends i would like to attach my car subwoofer with my home theatre system subwoofer is 4 ohm 10inch subwoofer by the BOSS so i would like to know is it possible if possible what all things i needed for that.

i understand that but i want to connect the sub to 5.1 system for example i wan to connect subwoofer to logitech z506 5.1 system i don't want to remove the logitech subwoofer and replace it with my subwoofer for that wat will i need if an amplifier please suggest me one

Few things that will help:

1. Punctuation in your questions it helps if you add a few fullstops once in a while so you are easy to understand else your posts seem very difficult to read and understand and therefore it becomes difficult for me to help you and you may not get the answers you want and your project becomes stalled and this is a post done intentionally to show you exactly how difficult it is to understand and if you cannot punctuate in english please write your posts in some other language so we can ignore it.

2. An amplifier. Typically a 5.1 soundcard will have a separate analog output for the sub, you have to connect the amplifier input to this. A plate amp should be easy to locate in your hometown's electronic market.

3. A power supply. Usually AC mains, though some people have tried to use a battery and a car amp to save cost. With subwoofer plate amps now available easily, this is not required.

4. Cables. The output of a card is typically on 1/8 stereo plugs, and the input on your existing 5.1 may be either 1/8 stereo or RCA plugs. You need to splice out the subwoofer connection as a separate cable, so this is typically a custom job.

sorry, friend I was very very tempted so i write without any punctuation.Okay,I think you mistook that i want to connect to computer

But actually i want to connect to home theater,

I have suggestion i would like to change the factory made 5.1 speakers by replacing the subwoofer speaker with custom subwoofer speaker. Is this possible and if possible wat will i need.

I don't understand your concept abt sound card wat is the use of it in terms of home theatre i remind u that i like to connect LCD tv or Blu ray player to my car subwoofer not pc.

Right. This is frankly the first time you have mentioned what you will be connecting to. Your mention of the Z506 would lead one to believe that it was a PC system as I've never heard of anyone using PC speakers in a home theater setup.

Does the Blu ray player have a discrete output? This would usually mean it has 8 RCA jacks on the back.

If not, you will also need a decoder that will convert the signal coming off the DVDP into 8 analog signals. This means a processor of some sort, or a device like the Creative Extigy. There are some cheap options on eBay which will do this for you. The output will then be available at its outputs, usually a set of three 1/8 headphone jacks.

Each headphone jack contains two channels, one carries the front , one carries the rear, and one carries the center and subwoofer signal (usually, an orange jack). You have to connect these to the speaker inputs - except the subwoofer signal. So you have to basically divert the subwoofer signal using a custom cable, so that it feeds your new custom subwoofer.

Then you have to actually build the subwoofer.

You're out of luck, your player has no multichannel output, you will have to decode it from the coaxial output.

Ideally you need a receiver that can pull the audio out of the HDMI connector.

I am assuming you are on the cheap.

In which case you need to connect a coaxial cable.

Have you heard of a wonderful website called Google?

http://www.google.co.in/search?num=...xial+decoder+ebay&oq=5.1+coaxial+decoder+ebay

And here is the first link:

http://www.ebay.in/itm/AC3-DTS-Audi...xial-5-1-2-1Channel-auto-Detect-/330658463489

Using the wonderful website called Google I came across a few other nice links:

http://www.ebay.in/itm/HDMI-PCM-7-1-5-1-Surround-Sound-Optical-Audio-Decoder-/230374451696

Good Luck!

Thank you friend for your help, actually the problem i faced is that when i searched audio decoder in the ebay.in it listed only one result,.which has usb interface.
