I need a netbook for surfing, movies and downloading. my budget is 15-16k and size really does matters( only 10" screens). Now, these are the two netbooks that falls in my budget. But the problem with 1015CX is it have 1 GB ram and thats not upgradeable :scared14: . Regarding r051CX, i dont have any idea. My question is:

1) Can the Ram be upgraded in 1015CX by any way?? because i think 1GB will not be enough for surfing basically on windows 7 or XP.

2) Do r051CX have upgradeable RAM? I am unable to confirm this through google, so do anyone personally knows??

3) Is 1Gb enough for smooth surfing? I dont want any lags while scrolling.

After a bit research, i came across lenovo x120e and i think it will be better to look for that also. But unluckily, its not available online. On monday, i will be at nehru place delhi for sure buying of any of these netbooks. Please can anyone tell me the best dealer at nehru place from where i can get this thinkpad for the best prices?? some lenovo distributor sort of person like SMC for asus. Waiting for quick replies as i have hardly tomorrow left.

P.S. i live 250kms off Delhi.

I bought a R051CX couple of days back and for that too memory is NOT UPGRADEABLE. 1Gb is good for surfing - not sure about watching movies like blue ray rips.
With my use, I see close to 850Mb of used memory all the time - so thought of upgrading and sent a note to their tech support (tsd@asus.com.tw) and they said its inbuilt in the motherboard and they can't do anything about it. There is a model called R051BX which has opening in the backside of the netbook to access RAM modules. But this model is not listed in the website. There are few other models in ASUS which has the option - it was mentioned in the product manual and don't remember now. Will post it later or send an email to the support email id and check.

If you can extend the budget - go for Lenovo Ideapad S110 which retails at MRP 19500 or so.
