Asus Eee PC 12 Inch 1215T laptop

for those who asked for battery backup, watched a 1080p movie rip(mkv) for 1hour 10 mins and battery was still at 50%, this movie was being streamed from wireless network source..i think this backup is decent enough

Wow you could stream a 1080p rip over wifi? :O

Mind sharing the details of the network? I mean the router et al.
 
I think the 1215N is a better buy simply coz it's got Intel Atom processor which consumes lesser power than the AMD one.. But only the 1215T is available in india atm right?
 
Guys,

I am planning to buy Asus Eee pc 1015 10 inch Netbook from the US.
Its around 300$ now and i guess the price will come down during christmas.
Is it the best buy at 200-300$ range ?

My reqts are ,
1)good browsing
2)Mp3 and movies
3)good battery backup
4)good looks

ok cheked in Lamington.. 1215T is available for 20.7k but only in red color...
just wondering... does anyone know if 1201T is capable of running 1080p?

720p playback is smooth, external monitor playback is also smooth

1080p mostly smooth, might get choppy in some parts, external monitor playback is quite choppy.

Have heard that 1215T can play 1080p with ease
 
I believe the 1215N is an improvement over the 1201N that I picked up around three months ago. The 1201N's dual core atom and Nvidia ION can handle 720p/1080p content quite well and is no slouch when running PS either. The only drawback is the battery life which tops out at just over 3 hours.

You are crazy. I don't want to be get drawn in old fashioned Intel Vs AMD. Asus EeePC 1215T an AMD based 12" with HDMI is better than its 1215N and in any case miles ahead than any Atom based. Remember, most of Atom based are 10" and 1215T is 12 inch. Silver colour is just exact replica of mac book and very stylist. Further the lappy is only costing 19000+ if decides to go for a one without OS.

Battery is sufficient at 4.5-5 hours. Comsumption by processors is almost same in both AMD & atom based, it is IGPU, that in case of AMD comsumes little more. After all it has far better IGPU than atom based crapy GMA 3150 or HD 4500.
