LMFAO

me 2 plannin to get one from US once it launches n the initial kinks are sorted out..the 4 or 8 Gb (dunno remem rite now which) version for 400$ will be decent i guess. ...esp once u put Xp on it :) gr8 for carrying around n as a second portable comp....

Was lucky enough to get to see and use it for a few minutes a week back in Taiwan but damn the price?!@#? 15k INR for the 4GB one. I was planning on picking one up if it was 11-12k INR. High LCD costs have a part to play for its higher price tag than what they earlier stated! It should drop over time. When its 13k here I might get it :P

Hey mate, I'd be glad if you could tell us a bit more about your experience cause I'm very seriously considering picking one up.

My primary need is to run a sequencing/live mixing software and run a USB MIDI controller for my stage shows. The hardware specs seems just fine for the application, I just need to get in a few positive words about it.

Looks really interesting.. What all can it be used for? Just net? office?

Well its $400 in the US for the 4GB version so 18K here is fine i guess. Though the pricing in general should've been lower.. Maybe in sometime :)

Some quotes from that review :

Battery life shows 10% after 2hrs 10mins in XP desktop doing nothing, LCD brightness Max, Wifi on and connected to AP for 1.5hrs.
Screen saver on after 10mins, i move the cursor occasionally..
Therefore, estimated batt life is around 2.5hrs in WinXP with Wifi.
Official 3.5Hrs is with Linux OS and probably without Wifi.

BOOT UP TIME (XP Loading Logo to Logon Screen) : an Amazing 7 seconds!!!!!
It's slightly longer than the EEE Linux OS bootup.
(This is on 1G ram btw ;))

Looks fairly good.. Would be more attractive with a bigger HD and some more ram.

the 400$ one from the US is with 8Gb SSD and 1Gb RAM :D now thats a good price. + u can always add a portable drive to the mix...3USB ports are good :)

^ Plus you can always add a 8/16GB SD Card ;)

Storage aint the big issue here guys, even RAM can be very easily bumped to 1GB 667, what they really could have done was a 1.2Ghz processor.

^ That might be true but that article is dated 17th Oct which is before some people got their hands on it..

And yeah Anish, you'r right. The other stuff can still be changed but its the proccy they should've done somethin about.
