Laptops ASUS laptop after sales service

Planning to get a asus notebook, how good is their after sales service in india? also how are parts availability through non official means.
 
My roommate ( 4dh1r in the forum ) has a Asus F5RL? 15inch lappy, build is pretty good actually :P
 
he is asking for after sales service and not asus laps and their quality.

What I have noticed, Asus have a small market share here in India. Their Asus netbook gave them public awareness.

Dont have info abt parts but asus lappies like U6S also are surely avaialble in grey market(had checked at lamington road in mumbai last yr).

That shows they have penetrated to some extend.

in india only few models are available...but they r selling well in countries like australia (info from friend)
 
ASUS Warranty is one year obvious in BILL, but Toshiba provides warranty for 3 Yrs now. Dont know about others. Though ASUS are tough lappie they fail to provide business lappie with GOOD battery life (not ATOM PROCESSOR) like Vaio TZ SZ and TT series. Toshiba has portege series. Then there is Panasonic which is not heard in INDIA. ASUS has a good base internationally. Their products are cheaper than Sony by 40 percent but better in quality as per my personal experince.
 
Asus has two year global warranty, and as far as i know, they are providing decent after sales service. (Though never had a problem in any Asus laptop purchased)
