Any device price higher or equivalent to new ipad top version wont survive or wont be a hit.

It should be atleast 20% cheaper than new ipad to make a dent.

Skeptical about this product working in India. Simply too expensive and most importantly expensive that the iPad (which is sort of always a comparison point) which will further drive away the sales.

Initially(by reading its price tag and the photo) I thought Padfone is a Tab. Then saw the specs(4.3" display..etc) and realized its just another smartphone

The tablet in itself is useless without the phone ?? Does it just act like a monitor / display and it itself can't act as a tablet ?

Yeah read that. India surely is a dumping ground for phone manufacturers.

No man... it's more of a tab... and Asus seems to be screwing India over. Samsung, HTC, Sony are still ok..

Anyhow I doubt people would really care about this at this point in time, especially at this time.
