Here's a short review-
Disclaimer-First phone review.so if i skip something...
The Package-
The phone comes in a neat package with a lot of accessories-the best being a phone cover.
The phone + stylus
A cover
AC Charger And Car Charger
Data Cable
MicroSD Card (1GB) with its adapter
Handsfree (wired)
Manual And CD
Car holder-vey good build quality
The Phone
Its a good looking phone with nice keypad.the buttons have a great feel. The joystick is above average
Right side has a slot for mem card (without any cover/lid) , camera button, reset button and a hold switch-which is awesome.
Its a sturdy phone with no squeaky sounds.
The 65k color screen has decent contrast and nice color reproduction and its touch recognition is great.
Sound Department
Sound quality of the loudspeaker is the same as Sony's P910i-good and headphones' sound is fairly good.windows media player has no eq so its better to use 3rd party softwares.Supports MP3,WMA,AAC formats
Camera
Its 2 megapixel autofocus camera @ 1600*1200 max resolution.i found it way better than N70 indoors.
Pics will be up soon
Video quality is not so good but works pretty good for a 2mp cam.
Battery
First day heavy usage got the battery to zero within a day.But with normal usage it lasts for about 2 days.
Standby time ~200hrs acc to manufacturer
Performance
200mhz TI proccy and 64mb ram do no good for multitasking. But for those who can live without it-it is good enough.i never found it lag in navigation
or hang
Connectivity
USB 1.1 is slow
So its better to use a mem card reader for most works except for syncs.
WiFi and bluetooth
No 3G
GPRS Class 10
IR
GPS
Interface-Regular WM6 , besides that ASUS launcher gives it a Symbian style navigation.
Conclusion-The Asus P527 is a decent phone with good looks and navigation with a price tag of 15k which makes it a nice buy for someone looking for a PDA.The only thing ASUS should have done is to feature more ram and USB 2.0
