CPU/Mobo Asus says NO Asus Motherboard found(Bios Upgrade)

My motherboard is Asus A7V400-MX.
I tried installing Asus update software but it says "no asus motherboard detected"! It failed to install asus update software.:S

I want to upgrade my bios to latest one, thats why I need that software install but its not getting installed.:huh:

Why you want to flash the BIOS. Is there any update available.

Ideally BIOS flashing should be done via the DOS panel, making a bootable USB. Highly likely that that the utility is not recognizing your A7V400-MX as a current board, since it is old.

Yes new bios version 1009 is available.

I tried putting that bios file in USB and setting USB FDD, USB HDD options as well but didin't work, nothing happens. Thats why I think this is better and easy way to do from XP OS but that software is not getting installed.

Actually sorry for not being clear. I meant in the BIOS change log, is there anything mentioned which will be specific to your system/setup/hardware requirements pertaining to the motherboard...example OC capability or gpu compatibility.

Did you make the USB bootable with the BIOS file..?

I don't understand what you meant by BIOS change log? where is it?

USB bootable with BIOS file? I just put that 1009.bin in my USB after formatting it, thats it and booted pc with first boot device tried USB FDD, USB HDD, almost all USB options tried but nothing happend after pc rebooting!
