Graphic Cards Asus skips Geforce 6800 GS

ONE OF the big manufacturers, Asus, has decided not to go for Geforce 6800 GS. It didn’t even want to go for AGP versions of the chip which comes as a huge surprise to us.

It turns out that Asus has too many Geforce 6800 GT and vanilla based chips and it won't release new cards until it clears its inventory. We checked some of the UK stores and found out that Asus has loads of Asus V9999/TD/128 6800 128mb AGP based cards and is selling them for £104.99 inc VAT. They had 92 cards when we first time checked and 82 cards press time. All those cards are based on old NV40 based chips and are using DDR 1 memory.

Asus also ships 6800 GT as well but you cannot find too many Asus cards in many stores, they like to concentrate on a few of them.

You can get those quite inexpensive cards here but we believe that the once available 6800GS AGP will end up faster for the similar price.
