An interesting news from ASUS.
Judging by the information posted at Clubic, ASUS is going to introduce a motherboard supporting 2 x PCI-Express 16x slots providing SLI 32x mode. The board is to be named A8N32-SLI Premium.
The novelty is to be based on the yet unannounced NVIDIA C51D Northbridge and besides 2 x PCI-Express 16x will offer PCI-Express 4x, 4 x Serial-ATA, Silicon Image Sil3132 RAID, 10 x USB 2.0, 3 x PCI and Marvell Gigabit Ethernet.

Besides A8N32-SLI Premium, ASUS is also going to introduce the 4th revision of P5NSLI now supporting Pentium Extreme Edition 840 and featuring integrated Wi-Fi and High Definition Audio.

wonderful news :D

BTW aqre there any benchies on the Tyan Thunder K8WE??? it gas 2 16x slots for SLI....

this is the difference basically.
More PCi express lines.
Also one varient of C51 will also have 6200TC integrated graphics.
Supposed to be better chipset to more effictively impliment SLI. Means better performance with SLI setup.

ASUS on top once again, wonder how good it is at OC'ing and whether the issues from the previous A8N SLI have been fixed...

i like nf4 mobo;s alot but only thing -ve abt it is the lack of onboard gfx so its purely for the Enthusiast. I want to put it to normal people but not everyone needs to spend on a bare minimum gfx card also. this is why intel's sales are always way higher. but i guess it clicked on Nvidia's mind & they r coming up with the newer chispet with int. gfx. Not sure if it w'd be 6200 or a low core 6600 gfx chip it will exhibit

integrated graphics with dedicated high-speed RAM (not the system RAM) will be great  lets see what nvidia does....

Well gigabyte had a board recently... with 64MB of local fb running at 500MHz. However it had a sis xabre gpu :p.

Edit: Well once the NF5 (thats what the C51) is called, I see most mobo makers coming out with a solution like this.

thats awesome :cool2: ...well,ASUS has proved it again...BTW,no company enjoys the manufacturing capabilities of ASUS :hap2: ,its the Intel of motherboards as far as its Fabs are concerned.
