Radiator goes in first from the top in this case and then the block.

For potential buyers: I have a 5080 FE on the way from RP tech.. I plan to only keep either the 7900xtx or the 5080 FE.. since the performance for both these cards are very similar imo.

So if anyone is on the fence about this card.. just letting you guys know its only going to be on sale for a few more days, if it doesnt sell by the time 5080 gets delivered, the 5080 will be sold.

man, you buy sell lots of gpus. If you are happy with XTX why bother with 5080 as it will be only slightly faster, has less vram and from what i remember you don't care for upscaling/RT + has some small but real risk from connector issue.

XTX seems to be great for your use case.
