Ok Folks, Now Im in kinda crossroads situation, Can any one of you please advise me .... I was determined to change to Intel (2600K+P8P67 DEeluxe) after seeing the Sandy Bridge reviews etc, However since the current delay of the B3 stepping is getting on my Nerves and My rig is still down because I already sold my MOBO+CPU, Hence Now Im considering AMD 1090t +GA 890fxa ud5 again, But again this BullDozer thing is coming hence was wondering should I purchase the AMD combo which is like 21K(Today's LR Rate) or wait more... Please pardon me if this is the wrong section However your able advise can help me get over the current state of Confusion :-)

Wait more... :) coz this is not the right time to build a rig... and bulldozer CPUs are around the corner... so waiting wud b really worth...

Thumbnail rule (I follow) Never ever go with Newly released (even movies too :) ), just wait & watch, read review & comments from users & than decide, even SB too had some issue but now solved.

True........

Thats Great, I was looking for the same all the time, But anyways I guess I'll go with AMD, as Buldozer is coming in a month or so, and Sandy Bridge is woohooo oh soo costly!!!

As rightly said by my fellow TE members to wait, But Im not having a PC now and waiting one more month is just not possible with this Age Old Laptop of mine used as a backup.

So AMD X6 1100T + GA 890 FX UD5 it is!!!! Heard that AM3+ will be supported on the same board in future via a BIOS update too hence, No Qualms on that front hopefully.

Thanks a ton folks, Oh yes almost forgot, Just checked in Delhi's NP & Mumbai's LR that the revised Mobo's are expected in late march or or 1st week of April 2011, talk about prices to fall down well not in the near future, same goes for Bulldozer I believe.

Regards
Saif

^^

you can buy sandy bridge mobo now and use it with sata 6gb/s port and exchange it later when new stock arrives, iam in same sitivation :|

Yeah That thought did came to my Mind, however the RMA process (although not that bad yet) is kinda turn off since you'll have to take some time off and then again i'll be in a position of No PC, henceI decided to go for AMD. After all the hexa core price wont go down drastically IMO, But yeah who know's what happens post Bull dozer release. But in any case Im thinking its a safe bet too in investing x6 1090 atleast for a year and then we can upgrade to Bull dozer . . . Touch wood for any Upsets like Sandy Bridge to it..... ;-)

^^

heard from yantra online dude asus are expected to release month end or april first week, gigabyte hasn't even given dates.can't wait any longer, with dragon age 2 releasing in couple of days plus crysis 2.even i may go with 1090t :\

Yeeah mate, Just SMC called in and gave the same info abt the availability of b3 revised version... :-( me too again amd .....

Me too will be going with same config as Babloos, i.e. i5 2500k + Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4. just waiting for the new revision boards to hit the market. wonder who will get them in stock first. And my previous motherboard just got fried 2 days ago. Impatience is killing me.

lol guess what i ordered asus p8p67 pro and 2500k from smc sorry have to play dragon age 2 will exchange later :P

I couldnt wait hence got Gigabyte 890 FXA UD5+1090T finally, X6 pretty much fulfills my Rig & usage needs currently. . . Guess its still not the time to go for Intel way yet.... ;-)

I'm buying p8p67 PRO locally. One dealer is offering the board for 12,500. will buy the i5 2500k and G.skill 1600mhz 8GB CL9 kit from SMC. will RMA it later.
