CPU/Mobo Athlon II X4 620 on ASUS M2N-E

Hi!

I am planning on upgrading to Athlon II X4 620. My motherboard is the M2N-E, will I be able to use this processor on this board, as ASUS officially does not list the Athlon II X4 620 as supported by this motherboard.

Please advise.
 
if asus has not provided a bios update then chances are that it wont work.

even if it boots..one can not determine if it would be completely functional and for how long.

had this issue with m2a-vm

athlon II x2 24 work for a few hours... after that it would nt boot with that cpu.. works fine with older cpus
 
I have updated to the latest bios v3001. The Athlon II X4 635 is offically supported, but why not the Athlon II X4 620? The only difference between these processors is the frequency.:S
 
Athlon II X4 620 and 635 both based on propus die, 620 AM2 package, 635 AM3 package, same 95W TDP, both differ in frequency multiplier. If higher Athlon II X4 635 has officially support then A II 620 should work without any issue.
