Wow ! FX57, that proccy alone costs 60k :O

Anyways, if X2 3800+ is for 18k then SD 3700+ should be for maybe 16k, I think I probably need to get one. Hell what am I saying :stupidme: :P

no dude 3700+SD is still 22k ... i even asked pcjedi about that and he also said its weird marketing by AMD ..... anyways i think he can arrange if u guys want .... not sure tho ..... let him post here ...

sorry, guys, didn't get the time to answer.

The 4200 price is 26.5 and the price for 3800 was 19K as mentioned by my vendor. I HAD a FX-57, sold it after i got my sandy. When i could overclock the 3700 to get the 3700 at 2.6 GHz , Afterall TE guys helped out with the mem..if you remember. but till now i still love my 3000 Venice.

As for the availability in Mumbai you will be able to get only the 4200 officially from AMD. They still haven't got 3800 for public. Thier first consignment was 4200 and so will thier second one be..whic is expected on the 16th. so 18th on the streets most probably.

Another interesting development because of the X2 - the 3700 has been revised to 19.5K which is cheaper now, then the X2. But still unrealistic compared to international prices. Anyway, the 3700 still is the closest thing to an FX at 1/3rd the price. Another thing..once this lot of 3700 is over, it would not be available very easily.

As for the AMD office..I think a lot of people here have had thier fill of information. I will state mine. The first lot of AMD X2 processors expected were the 4000. It was when i told them it doesn't exist, they said, they will check and let me know. :-)

Hello pcjedi,

Is Amd Athalon x2 3800+ available in mumbai now.

If yes then at which shop of laminton road can i get it & what is the price of it.

AFAIK, the X2 3800 is not available in Mumbai officially - It is expected on 1st October, but that too not through the official channel. The commitment i have is 18 days. but for the safe side i have taken 1st October. Will update you guys when i get them.

Price as i said, for the official version would be 19K + tax, so the unofficial should be 19K or maybe slightly cheaper.

where did you buy the FX-57 and for how much?

i had it for only some time. and it was for a test project. It cost me around 61K odd i think that time. At the moment - officially only the FX-55 is available in India.

Price will be around 47K - depending on tax structure and where u r buying from. Its ex-stock as far as i know. And if you are looking at buying i would recommend the FX-55 over the 57, if you can get the drift :-)

Ah, the X2 3800+ part seems to be the one generating more interest.
However its not listed on the site, and today being a holiday cant ring up and ask them about it either. Will try tomorrow or perhaps day after :)

I am seriously looking forward to the X2 4400+.....I feel the extra 1 meg cache over the 2 cores would benefit vid encoding also......Plus its always better to go 1 step up, where after say 4 months u don't have ta look back and say "damn I could'da got that"...

The pricing is a bit over though as delta told me 25K even.....But I've been a real frequent buyer......btw these CPU's can also be ordered....and a bulk order should cost less.....any takers....

I shall have the cash ready by Jan.....

@ mobos will the 32 PCIe boards from MSI & Asus be available by say Jan-Feb 06.....
what pricings can we expect.....???

if you got 25K quote for X2 4400 then buy it. Seriously. not joking.

Evenin us that thing costs around $500. And $50 premium here is actiually way less than what it usually is on these high end processors.

AFAIK even X2 4200+ was quoted more than 25K.
