Nvidia is working on its own CPU's. Intel always had a graphics division. It just hired pple to work on the integrated cpu/gfx core. think that both parties will be taking on AMD/ATI by themselves.

Izzat so... :S NVIDIA guys I met a few months back said they didn't have much plans for desktop CPU production and/or design. But I'm not really up to date so correct if wrong.

Plus I don't think the CPU/GPU thing will do much, considering that Intel already has a winner with the Core 2 Duo, and NVIDIA's 8xxx series promise so much, so yeah, they'll probably just use their own roads to attempt to demolish the ATI/AMD faction...

A Cpu that gets outdated in less than a year :( ....

But a good solution...cpu, gpu and ram all in just one card....:D
May be they can integrate it into the mobo...the single piece pc...Use and throw...

The Tech Report - AMD's purchase of ATI closes, and Fusion begins

In addition, AMD has announced the code-name "Fusion" to refer to merged CPU-GPU hybrids.
Fusion processors are expected in late 2008/early 2009, and the company expects to use them within all of the company's priority computing categories, including laptops, desktops, workstations and servers, as well as in consumer electronics and solutions tailored for the unique needs of emerging markets.
