I think this is the right section to post my problem.

I recently purchased Samsung LEd32EH5000R television and Sony DAV-TZ215 home theater system. However, whenever I play any video from USB connected to TV, it does not let it sound come from the home theater system.

How do I connect it? Do I need any cable? Auxilliary?

Problem with Sony is that it does not accept NTFS format and I cannot copy single file more than 4gb on a FAT32 device :annoyed::(

But my TV USB accepts NTFS but the audio comes from TV speakers every time

So what is the solution to this?????

Your HT system does not have an optical digital input else you could have got yourself a Toslink cable and paired the 2 devices. The only way to get the sound output via the HT system is to connect it using a pair of RCA male inputs from the TV using its line out jack.

You'll need a cable like this one:

Hey thanks. I tried using this cable but it doesn't carry 5.1 audio signals :( :(

I guess the only option is to have MP4 file less than 4gb on a FAT32 device so that I can connect it directly to HT.

I thought it was quite obvious that the stereo cable cannot carry 5.1 signals. Never mind.

The only true option to get the 5.1 out is if the HT system had a digital input which is lacking in yours. Alternately, if there is an option to emulate the 5.1 surround from the HT setup you could try that but this isn't true 5.1, this will only duplicate the signals across all the satellites.

The only way to get a 5.1 sound would be use the optical out on your TV to output the sound. But even in that case I am doubtful the TV will be able to decode audio in 5.1 from ur USB drive.
A friends TV was not able to do that where as my TV was able to decode 5.1 output from a file played from the USB drive.
Also I am doubtful if you would be able to amplify the sound from the Headphone output. I tried on my LG tv and the output was very low and could not be amplied much. TV speakers were louder than the amplified sound.
So finally I went for a 5.1 speaker system.

Sony DAV-TZ215 does not have any digital input port, hence you can feed stereo signals to it at the best. The max you can do is select the sound mode to "Dolby Digital Prologic-II" (movie or music mode) and all the speakers would be activated. However, this is not true 5.1 but just "upscaled stereo sound".
