I have a PIONEER stand alone DVD player, Model DVD-575A, which has six analogue audio out RCA jacks (1) FRONT RIGHT, 2) FRONT LEFT, 3) REAR RIGHT, 4) REAR LEFT, 5) CENTRE & 6) SUBWOOFER) in the back panels, besides two digital outs (coaxial & optical). I want to plug my CREATIVE MEGAWORKS 550 5.1 speakers to the player using its analogue outs. The hitch is the subwoofer has three analogue inputs – 1) FRONT, 2) REAR & 3) CENTRE/SUBWOOFER.

RCA cables available with two RCA jacks at one end (Output from the DVD player) and a single RCA jack at the other end (Input into the subwoofer). Three such cables will serve my purpose. Can anyone source these cables for me ?

what you need is three, 2 RCA -> 1 Stereo pin cables.

These are easily avialable in the market.

the cable which you have described above 2 RCA -> 1 RCA is used for mixing the two channels in analogue mode.

Yep, Deejay is right. What you're looking for is a cable like this:

Should be pretty easily available.

The RCA ends will go to your player. The mini stereo jack will go to your Creative Megaworks inputs. Since each cable has 2 RCA plugs, you'll have to do a bit of testing/investigating to make sure the right RCA plug is plugged into the right channel on your DVD player. Its quite easy to get the Left/Right channel interchanged, or the Subwoofer/Centre channel interchanged.

Oh man THOSE cables and me go back a long ways.... needed those cables to attach my walkman to an Amp and got someone to bring a Sony set from Japan ... would not work.... got another friend to bring another Sony pair from USA ... did not work... finally bought a cheap Indian pair and they worked fine !! The reason was that both the Sony ones had attenuators built into them .... so the volume was so low that I could not get any peeps out of them. I then got a third Sony pair without the attenuators and they are fine. Please make sure you dont get stuck with an attenuated cable.
