Audio / Video converter.

Okay the title pretty much explains it. I need a audio / video converter, requisites are --

1) must support most of the audio / video formats (doesn't support .mkv OR .ogg is acceptable but must support other conceived formats [.mp4 / .wma and so on])

2) must be able to convert to .mov format, in college I use a Mac Pro so must support this format preferably out of the box.

3) it would be great to know this piece of software is a freeware OR even better OPEN SOURCE.

@red dragon -- I'll be converting my videos on a Windows 7 PC not Mac, I've used handbrake on Macs irritating software, for day to day functionality in my views.

Payment is a bit of an issue as I'm a student.

How does VLC convert files Sir?

Please guide this n00b.
 
Just create a facebook a/c and click the "like" button on their page and you will get a serial key and a download link

simple dude Media -> convert/save and open the file and if u want subs add and then convert. and try other features...
