Hello users of night unlimited plan ! How do you download at night ? Wake up? Or use softwares that require you to play with batch files?

Here is the complete solution for night time download- Auto connect Download scheduler. No requirement of additional batch files, the program suffices. Wake PC from sleep, dial internet\reboot modem, start torrent client and at the end, close internet & torrent client and put PC to sleep.

Coded in AutoIt and core is DOS based. It has a simple GUI and I am working on making it better. I request XP users to try it and give me suggestions to improve it.

Always On mode users too can use the modem reboot modules to automate downloads. Visit the support page for download and help -

There are many software - you can even use free download manager (Techenclave download manager) for scheduling. Only thing that is missing is the modem reboot feature.
 
i use simple bat file with rasdial command for connection and disconnection, with help of Windows scheduler. scheduled in such a way that the connection repeats in every 10 mins so that any disconnection will be managed.

Why dont you submit your software to softpedia, they will do software check & host it, You get all the credits & you get more downloads too.

Here is version 2.6, a bug was reported in version 2.5 in task deletion feature. Download this fixed version.

@multifaced - yeah, thats a way you can do. But it is a little complex task, especially for newbies, hence I coded the program. Why don't you try it, it makes task really simple.

New version 3.3.2 :

  • Added "Run schedule daily" opition.
  • Date selection removed. Now date for the next day by default or daily, as selected.
  • Added an Optional modem reboot feature, available to Bridge users as well. This is keeping in view that some users reported need to reboot modem twice at end of free time.
  • Fixed minor issues with modem reboot logic.

Note : Windows 7 users opting for Run daily feature may have to disable UAC, since Microsoft doesnt specify a way to disable UAC for a single program. I heard there are some programs that can tweak UAC alerts. Notify me if you find any.

Wish I could do some kind of auto-redialling for my Reliance wired broadband connection which gets disconnected roughly after 24 hours. I've to login again via the browser. :\
 
Login via browser ? What exactly do you have to do to login ? Open a page and enter user ID and password or just opening the browser is sufficient ??
 
^ Open the browser, go to reliancebroadband.co.in and then enter username and password.. friggin lame. :|
