Automatic ALT key press simulation driving me nuts!!!

I've observed this weird problem on all Windows machines, starting from Windows XP to Windows 7. The problem is, every few seconds, the Alt key press simulated, so automatically the window which is open tends to just choose the File option, but without actually bringing down the drop-down menu. I don't know what triggers this. I've tried to go through each and every application which I've installed since I've faced this problem(this problem starts off VERY randomly and there is no fix, yet) and tried uninstalling one by one but nothing helps.

Once, on a Win 7 machine, things worked out after downloading the latest updates, whereas on XP, Vista and other Win 7 machines, nothing has worked. I've tried scanning the PC with AV, Malwarebytes, etc and also run Registry Mechanic to fix issue, but no avail. This issue seems to be unique in our office and few of them are facing this, and Google has no fix. So, please help me out guys. Reinstalling the OS is NOT an option.

Guys, this is NOT the problem with the keyboard. I'm very sure of that because, after a fresh install of the OS, this problem completely disappears!! Also, I'm on a brand new laptop while writing this and this problem occurs.

Guess what, I'm not the only one with this strange thing happening, but it's on Linux. Check out these links : [Bug 216939] Re: totem causes alt key press in openoffice every 30 secon

#502313 - xorg: Applications are getting "ghost" Alt keypress events, but I press no keys - Debian Bug report logs
BUUUUTTTTTTTT.............

I figured out what is causing this  :ashamed: Most of us use a software called Caffeine, which can be found here : Caffeine so that our systems don't go to inactive mode and this is the one registers this keystroke. Since Alt key is the least used one, the developers decided to use that key to simulate a key press.

This 'solution' was a bolt out of the blue :D Glad things got sorted out :hap2::ohyeah: I hope the linux guys get their solution soon :)
