AV Receiver

I would go with the Denon, although if you could tell something more about your requirements.. what kind of speakers do you have (or intend to buy) or what kind of setup you would need.. maybe I could suggest something else.

Unless you want to stick to Denon, there's a better alternative in Onkyo.. Onkyo TX-SR875 - 7.1-Channel Home Theater Receiver | Model Information | Onkyo USA Home Theater Products

You can compare them head to head over here, although Onkyo is a tad cheaper and heavier by about 10 pounds, it has the Reon chip vs. the Faroudja in Denon which is supposed to be better.

For the speakers, I'd recommend Paradigm Studio series, you can choose from various models.. like Studio 100 or 60 for fronts, CC 690/590 for fronts, ADP 590 for Surrounds depending on your budget.

For the sub, I would recommend Sunfire Products : Solitaire 12 or Sunfire Products : Solitaire 10

Having said that, let me suggest my favorite, Home Theater Speakers - Orb Audio

Mod4s for front and center and Mod2s for surround along with the matched sub they suggest plus the receiver - Denon/Onkyo we talked about earlier.. should give you a killer system.

Orbs also do well with a Panasonic Xr 55/57 recievers, although this reciever is not that high-end as the Dennon / Onkyo.. but much cheaper and lighter...

Also, if I may ask, what made you choose the receivers that you have listed? Just wanted to know, if you are into High-end audio or starting your journey into this world.. coz they might be simply overkill and waste of money.. a Mod2 + Panasonic XR 57 + a SVS/Velodyne sub combo could be a great setup for regular movie watching..

BTW.. which projector are you looking for? the Carada screen is a good choice IMHO.

jvc 1080p projector BTW how are the Millenia Series, signature and monitor series of speakers and

Servo-15/

Seismicâ„¢ Series/

Signature Series in wooferS ?

Everything is good man.. depends on your hearing and the budget off course..

Here's another setup option..

JVC DLA-HD1 1080p front projector

Carada Criterion 126" BW screen

Denon AVR-4308CI receiver

Definitive Technology BP 3000 (fronts)

Definitive Technology CLR 3000 (center)

Definitive Technology BP 2004 (rears)

Definitive Technology ProMonitor 100 (rear centers)

SVS PB12-Plus/2 (subwoofer)

Studio series is one of the best rated ones.. although Signature is a higher model than Studio.. but you'll find best reviews for the Studio series.

The 800 series speakers are insanely good but way beyond your budget and no 2000$ surround amp will do justice to it. The Def Tech stuff is pretty decent but strictly for HT not music. Paradigm is nicer for music. In 3000$, you can get a complete Dynaudio Audience HT setup. Why even look at anything else :P.

Yup... that sounds pretty decent

Get Dynaudio 52SE fronts, audience 42 or 42W rears, 122C center. Dynaudio doesnt make subwoofers so you can buy a standalone SVS or something equally good.

Those are Europe only. AFAIK they are not sold in the US. I maybe wrong though. Sunfires are really good. Another brand you might wanna look for is REL. They have excellent subwoofers. Even Velodyne subs are rather good... atleast the high end ones.
