Graphic Cards AVIVO query

I should be getting some red pretty soon (hopefully) ;) and would like some info on AVIVO and how I can use it for my favorite pastime video encoding. Thankfully I now have 2 rigs up and running at home (in mumbai I mean), both are coincidentally 2.4 GHz based :P (workhorse 2.4C northwood, and the 4800+)..
went OT there, sorry... what can I do with avivo, that I cannot do on the 7900GTX? Is there anything special? suggested reading? Linkies?

it basically cuts ur encoding time to half in most cases that i have used it for. Quality of encoding is good.

On decoding front u get all that NV has to offer, then u can also select deinterlacing modes and there are also some presets for different desktop applications like theater mode and office mode etc etc.

Bottle, Funky thanks.. checking the link, and will definitely use this vid encoding feature and report back findings..
btw I am using Avid Xpress Pro HD for my needs.. Any other good software I could take a peek at?

Have nero 7 premium (original) and also use WME9
