PC Peripherals Avoid APC products

I use an APC ups 600v which broke down twice and replaced on warranty.....but now warranty is over and it again shows trouble.
APC is not reliable in our conditions i think.

Too many power fluctuations in your area? Is it connected to a separate/external power source?

I've been using APC UPSes for years now and except for a twitchy power button (unit was replaced), I never really had any problems with it.

Currently on a 1KVA UPS from APC.
 
Are generic UPS supported by apcupsd/NUT or their own control software. The reason I go with APC is because of usb/serial port control they have and excellent third party software support.
