Awesomely high pings to foreign servers...

now this problem seems to be WB-circle only.. me and all people i know using BSNL here (and nub gamers like me) are facing this probllem seriously. I think only Foreign servers are affected as indian servers ping is flat good.

plan is 750-ul plan (256kbps)

the crap thing is all servers there used to be <170ms pings with starhub and ssgb ones being in the 80-110 range, this is big time gayness. I cnt even play TF2 now (CSS i can as there are gooood indian servers for it). =( . Anything WE can do guys??

I've tried resatrting modem and comp, flushing the defalut dns cache and everything else too.
 
'Suck on it' is the word for Indian online gamers!!

Even I play online games and I get horrifying ping and lags.. can't do sh1t about it since our ISP won't improve for next 2 centuries.. right? =]

Its the same with me now, Some routing mishap has happened as eclub for me is still under 80 but starhub and other server are well above 250. The good part is TF2 is still playable with the pings with some classes which I primary like the HV and Engineer.

Vstreet server Edov is full in nights , you can play there with great pings.
 
u'r not alone. Starhub tf2 servers that used to give <110ms now give >300ms. Something is wrong somewhere. Havent played tf2 since more than a week.

These sort of events are not permanent, if there router/L3 device fails at primary location they reroute the traffic via another device at another location. This increases the number of hops. Thus increase in ping. Things come back to normal soon.
 
*touch wood* my reliance is fine for now. Some of my friends on TATA have been facing the same problem for the past week. Hopefully it should improve soon.

PS: Please take this constructively.. awesomely high means you are implying something that is working out great for you.. in a positive sense.. (which obviously is not the case here). Peace :)
