Hello!!
For some time now..
Azureus has been causing my System to reboot randomly.. rather anytime btw 15min to 1 Hr after i load az my com restarts..
I went and unchecked the "restart comp when error occours" thingie in the control panel and I am getting a blue screen.... i will note donw the error newt time.
I was wondereing if anybod eles was havng the same prb?

Thanks!

lol, i had de same problem, same blue screen like in 5 mins or in secs, i think there is some pblm wit Azureus itself, or some error during installation, wat i did was, jus formatted my windows drive, n tried it again, it dint trouble for sometime,n again it started. lol formatted again, tried, dis time it worked longer, but i switched over to Bit Comet. few reasons y i swtiched over to BC

1. It loads fast.

2. The Speed Is Good.

3. Its Stable.

I suggest u go in 4 Bit Comet...

I had that problem with almost all BitTorrent clients when i started out. I'm on Airtel, and a change in the connection properties solved the problem. Changed the Encapsulation to "RFC 2364 PPPoATM NULL"

@KK - Yeah. It's a strange thing. But i had first noticed this problem with Shareaza.. A little searching brought me to pages claiming that these were problems related to modem drivers...

Another search yielded info claiming the prob to be due to badly fragmented partitions. The page file, apparently was getting fragmented and causing a problem.

@didpdude>>> I dont run Nod...

I tried bitcommet... I acc swiched over to Az after having prbs with Bitcomet .60 have downloaded 0.61 will use that... But i Realy like the advanced features of Az.. the graphs and esp the plugins...

Lets see.. i do hope its a problem with the prg it self and they rectify it soon:D

Thanks!

I have allready done that!

I have found out that when i first start az it goes to the blue screen.. then after i restart... i run Az for abt 8rs before the next blue screen...

thanks for all your Inputs!

are using a nforce 4 m/c, also can you give more details about your error, it can be memory leak error i.e usage of virtual memory would keep increasing over time while using azureus. also what a/v & firewall are you using.

Firewall:Zone Alarm Pro version 6.1.737.000

Anti virus:BitDefender 9

My motherbord is a intel 845GBF so i dont know what is nforce 4 m/c

next time.. I will record the error....

I used to have the same problem,.. my system would randomly hang and I had to restart it everytime,.. I tried many torrent clients but it happened with all of them.
The problem stopped as soon as i switched from my adsl modem to a ethernet router,... since then its running perfect.
I guess is something to do with adsl modems.

Just to let you know, ZoneAlarm has had a history of conflicts with many P2P software in the past. If all else fails, try another firewall.

ok here are the errors..

Threre is a blue screen..

and then there is a msg...

BAD_POOL_CALLER

then there is some msg abt if I had instaled new software/hardware.. to remove it..

then..

*** STOP: 0X00000000 (0X00000040 , 0X00000000 , 0X80000000 , 0X00000000)

what do you make out of that??

Thanks!

It can be due to a bad driver, in the error message do you see a driver name if yes then reinstall the particular device or application, else disable zone alarm & try azureus, see if you still get the error.

if yes, run memtest for atleast four passes to check for any memory errors. Also is this confined to only when azureus is running ? have you installed any new hard/software recently ?

Stop 0xC2 or BAD_POOL_CALLER

The Stop 0xC2 message indicates that a kernel-mode process or driver incorrectly attempted to perform memory operations in the following ways:

By allocating a memory pool size of zero bytes.

By allocating a memory pool that does not exist.

By attempting to free a memory pool that is already free.

By allocating or freeing a memory pool at an IRQL that was too high.

This Stop message is typically due to a faulty driver or software.

This happens with only Azureus running..

but.. lately its been running fine... like for upto 10Hrs without any restart(touch wood:D ) I dont see any driver name in that error.. next time.. I will take a pic of th eerror..

I have not instaled any new hardware too..

thanks for helping out..
