Hi Guyz ,

Almost frm the Past 4 Hours I am Trying to rectify this problem but to no avail ! I Have Tried many Forums , wiki etc but am still having the F***ing Problem ! Ok its Like This , Today I formatted my windows xp sp2 , installed azureus ........... but the download did'nt start and it gave me a NAT ERROR ! At the bottom OF AZUREUS its saying dht firewalled and NAT firewalled !

I Have Tried almost everything ! I Have tried forwarding Ports , Tried disabling windows firewall but still no effect :( ! I am on Airtel 256kbps connection and my modem is beetel adsl2 ! Plz somebody help me ! :(

easy way to enable nat is use the router in the bridge mode..(if you have bridge mode settings in your router, which i think you should be having)

Mayb airtel has blocked the ports from incoming connections... Im not sure, but thats what hathway does in my area... They have blocked ports, and I also used to get these NAT error. Later on found that they have 6000, 6666 and ports 1723 open.... Mayb airtel also has something like this!!

Im having a similar problem. I just installed sp2 for winxp after about a year of free flowing downloads i now find myself firewalled with nat error. It has to be sp2. I consider myself pretty well incontrol of whats going on with my router, firewall, windows security settings and antivirus. It has to be some crazy stuff microsoft is doing behind my back. I've checked and double checked all the usual nat firewall fixes. Looked for the phantom firewall that ppl say must be there, installed an sp2 patch that is mean't to fix the sp2 limit on ports or something like that (didn't work). I then uninstalled sp2 which eventually overcame the nat problem. Whats the fix to keep sp2 cause its required for some hardware i use. Anyone got any ideas

First have you forwarded proper ports tot he router?

http://www.techenclave.com/forums/a-guide-port-forward-beetel-220bx-72916.html

That explains how to do that.

To know which port the Azureus is using go Tools and click on NAT/Firewall test. That will show incoming TCP port.

Forward that port to router.

You will also need to exempt this port from the windows firewall.

For that go to windows control pannel>windows firewall>Exemptions and click on Add port. Make 2 such entries. 1 for TCP port and 1 for UDP port.

You will be good to go.

its not service pack 2 cause i have it...
just make sure ur windows firewall is disabled
if u want to enable it and still use azureus go to cp -> windows firewall ->exceptions , and feed in the port numbers there

and yes i think airtel blocked the ports cause i had the same problem for like 12 hrs ... after that it was fine
