So I need a solution to backup some very important stuff. I need to backup documents and photos. All in all currently my docs take up 10GB and my photos take up 60GB (and likely to grow). Currently I sync them between two internal hdds in the same desktop.
What's important for me is:
What do you recommend? Are SSDs supposed to be more reliable or pen drives? Also not mentioning a budget, as that is flexible depending on the options, but the solution being VFM is paramount. I don't need to pay a premium for cutting edge technology.

- Reliability - should not fail and should have a very low risk of losing data (hence not even considering spinning hdds).
- Portability (for Docs, not really for photos)
- Data Transfer & synchronization - Docs are edited on a daily basis almost, and I need some convenient way to sync the files with my desktop. Pics not so much.
