CPU/Mobo Bad BIOS checksum error

Hello friends ...

I need ur help . My friend facing this problem since last week .Whenever he on system he get following error :-

"Bad BIOS checksum Starting BIOS Recovery ....
checking for floppy...
Floppy not found !
checking for CD-ROM...
CD-ROM not found! "

Also change CMOS battery but no effect. Any solution ?

System spec:-
AMD 4000+
ASUS k8v-mx mobo
1gb ddr1 ram
80gb hdd
 
depends how old is your friends machine.
1) Try booting from his mobo cd. mostly manufacturers put recovery options in theirs cd with the default bios flash files for such scenarios.

2) Else create a boot floppy with the latest bios from the manufacturers site.

3) or if his system/bios supports then boot directly from a pen drive contaning the bios flash file. You need to keep pressing either F10 or F12 key until it promtps for it.
