I purchased 5 ELC toys during the "up to 51% discount" sale on 8th August. After some 20 days I received one item and remaining 4 were put on hold (reason given was out of stock).
After more than 10 mails to their support, finally they sent the shipping details (my bad - it was Aramex :( Aramex guys are taking more than 4 days to deliver in Chennai).
This morning I have received the parcel and only to find out that only 3 out of 4 pending items were sent.
Again sent the mail to their support team and waiting for their reply. It is 38 days since I did my online purchase. My worst experience ever with a online shopping site.
Any of you had similar issues with shoppersstop?

I had a horrible experience too. They clearly have no idea about online retailing. Absolute ganwars. Their website does not fetch availability information from their inventory. Their process is such that when someone orders, they try out all the Shoppers Stop stores (YES) to see if any one of them has a particular order. To avoid multiple stores dispatching the order, they have like a day's delay between each store. They don't charge your card during purchase, but that is because they are not sure themselves if they will be able to fulfill the order. The customer care is a bunch of morons who ask you everything from your date of birth to address to name to phone number to everything else, but can't figure out an order number based on any of these. All they can claim is that they are 'working' on it. I had order 2 items, worth more than 3 grand, neither of them turned up, and this, after close to 40 days of 'purchase'. I have since abandoned the site and would strongly recommend others to do so.

Lol I dunno about the site, but the store is pretty ok.

The one nearest my location doesn't exactly have good options for casual clothes, but the other day I had gone to pick some cheap formals. At the counter I was surprised with a nice 400 bucks discount just because I had a membership card. :P

I dont understand why the simplest of online sites in India struggle to maintain inventory databases. or even put up decent pictures of the correct aspect ratio (everything is flattened etc lol). But its improving, with more competition. But I have a suspicion they will be never as good as options available overseas, just like everything else in this country

surprising but useful info! the physical stores are spanky & their "target market" is higher-mid range!

so is this a case of "clicks" not matching the expectations raised by the "bricks", apparentl being managed online by a bunch of p****s?" !?!!

yea its a sort of run around trying to buy on this site , first you order then they see if its in stock , when i was buying a lot , the mothercare clothes during sales is totally worth it , i had a few contacts so I could figure out products that are available then i used to order
