Crap, Red Dead could have easily won a lot more. Rockstar did not submit the entry to BAFTA! :@

And as usual the choices are pretty crap :P
Which gives one an idea how much persuasion has been done by the winning studios :cool2:

I voted for Black Ops and I feel that it truely deserves it :) (only last week came across this Bafta when i saw it in NFS HP where they were requesting to vote for NFS HP:))

I think BAFTA is shit, even Spike video game awards is better than this.

Agree with gannu, RDR is really good, although there is a serious lack of AA and Draw Distance on the PS3 version, how awesome would RDR have looked on a PC? nevermind.

There are mechanics in individual levels of that game that could be whole games by themselves!
Not that I am complaining, but how could a platforming game like Super Mario have got that award when there were other contenders which were better, is what surprises me. A quick search reveals that SMG 2 has indeed received critical acclaim - not sure on what grounds was this reward chosen though. I haven't played the game since it came for the Wii so cannot comment.

Quite sad, even Alan Wake did not receive anything. The game had one of the best storylines I've played for a game till date. Between Heavy Rain and Alan Wake, although it's a tough call, my take would be Alan Wake.

Seriously Gannu? You've never played it, so there's no grounds for it to get an award? Or is it that SMG is a platformer, hence not worthy of your approval?

What I meant was I was initially baffled that a game like Super Mario won the best award for the gameplay. Not because I haven't played it, it doesn't deserve an award. Where do you draw such lame ass conclusions?

The last sentence meant I shouldn't comment any further since I haven't played it.

How about posting the complete sentence for once? :/

Bugger stop pulling my legs. :chair:

Why should Super Mario Galaxy 2 is so awesome , it has to be best gameplay mechanics used till date, especially some of the boss level.

I agree Alan wake had one of the best story lines though there were plot holes in the end, but story telling was really good,
