Bandwidth usage for multiplayer online games - TF2/COD4

hullo all,,

i basically need to know how much bandwidth does lets say, an hour long session of COD4 or TF2 use up?

i need to know coz i'm on a night unltd plan with data transfer limit for day usage. Knowing how much i might end up using might help me take the plunge.. or not.

TF2 does about 30MB download for an hour of gameplay. This is for a full server of 24 players and the pl(payload) type maps.
 
games do not take as much as bandwidth as you would expect.

i used to play Age of Empires for 2-3 hours at a time and the usage would never go above 35 mb.
 
use vista network meter gadget .. its takes somewhere around 6-8 kbps down and 4-5 kbps up in almost every game esp FEAR and COD4
