Hi guys

I was wondering if the bangalore TE members can be kind in helping me locate a single/double BHK apartment for a lady in Bangalore. Also what is the asking rent in sq.ft for such an apartment.

Thanks in advance

I got mine thru' Sulekha.com. The rates vary on locations. 1BHKs in bangalore are really difficult to find and even if you find one it will be very expensive.

Where exactly do you want the apartment ?

Just sent her a mssg asking abt the location. Will let you know.

How expensive is a single BHK?

Last time we spoke, she said she'd even be fine moving in with another girl if a roomie is required.

It depends on which area she's targeting, it can be as low as 4-5k to as high as 20k.

Yeah, frazer town/cox town would be quite a bit cheaper than indira nagar / jeevan bima nagar.. But it is REALLY difficult to get a 1BHK unless you are very lucky.

Cox town, indira nagar and jeevanbhimanagar are slightly expensive compared to frazer town, but there are extensions or interior places even in indiranagar or Cox town which can be lesser but may have issues like amenities and commuting,

in Frazer town there are different places like mosque rd, spencer's road, Haines road, which are slightly expensive,

HBR layout / Kammanahalli 3 kms from Frazer town is a good place and slightly less expensive

Well, depending on locations and availability, it varies from 8k-15k.

She's decided to stay at a PG accommodation until she finds herself an apartment. Do let me know if any of your girlfriend's are on the lookout for a roomie in either of the above mentioned areas. Also can anyone suggest a public/private forum/website where they list apartments for rent within a closed from social circle, if such portals do exist?

Thanks
