Budget 31-40k Basic RIG

Okay , so guys i will get a gpu(budget for that will be around 20k) in 5-6 months.I have increased my current budget to 40k.
But till then i have decided on:
i5 3550
Intel DH77EB
Corsair Vengeance 4GB x2 1600MHz
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 500gb
Carbide 300R
DVD -R(any?)
LOGITECH K200
Any suggestions on the psu? I will need a more powerful one now since i will be going for a gpu later.
What else do i need for making a computer which will be used for surfing the net, listening to music(i have speakers) etc. ?

Seasonic S12II 520W is what I would suggest.

Where are you sourcing the Corsair Carbide 300R from?

For an optical drive, go for -- HP / ASUS (boxed) optical drive ~1100/-.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

About the carbide 300R, i am still looking for a place to get it.
Also, does the Cost2cost online pricelist give all the correct price of a product?

I was thinking about going with a processor with hd 4000. i5 3570k satisfies that and according to the online list of c2c its about 12k. Considering that i am not looking to overclock, should i go in for that?

Thanks :)

I doubt you will get it local.

You can look at the following cabinets instead --
  • Cooler Master eLite 430 / 431
  • Cooler Master eLite 311 Plus
  • BitFenix Outlaw APAC edition (enquire @Computer Empire, Nehru Place)
Yes Cost2Cost's PDF is regularly updated but unfortunately most members have bitter experience with them. All prices are VAT exclusive as well.

Avoid the Core i5 3570k, go with a i5 3550 be patient and get a good card.

You will have to source the SMPS from flipkart.

Okay.
What basically is a SMPS? Sorry for the noob question !
How does gskills ripjaws compare to corsair vengeance?
Also could you please suggest some more cabinets and a cheaper psu?
Are all the parts which have been decided compatible with each other?

Thanks a ton

SMPS = PSU.

As you are not over-clocking stick to the Corsair Vengeance sticks.

Already given you the cabinets that are the best for your budget and needs (in my opinion) --

The Seasonic S12II 520W is the cheapest and most reliable SMPS you can ask for your system.

Yes they are compatible. No worries.

Thanks for your replies guys.
Will i require an aftermarket cooler considering i live in Delhi?
Also , i am getting the i5 3570k(new) for 11.8k(including VAT).Considering everyone suggesting that there will be a huge surge in the market (performance wise)due to new-gen consoles ,intel haswell etc, Should i go for it?

So finally what i am looking for is a 35k rig which will let me play FIFA 13/14.... I don't want a GPU at all . So if it would be possible to play these games using the integrated GPU. All i want is that this rig should give me medium graphics and this rig to be able to sustain me using software's like Solidworks. So basically(again) , the best possible rig at 35k with a GPU.
