guys i am looking for batteries for my canon A590. the uniross ones which the dealer gave me are no good. they dont hold the charge for more than 2-3 days.

i went to Alpha today and i came across these

1. Sanyo Eneloop 2000mah (2 batteries + charger) Rs.625
2. Sanyo 2700mah Eco-Charger (2 batteries + charger) rs. 685
3. Sanyo 2100mah eco-charger (4 batteries + charger) rs. 575
4. There were certain Sony and GP batteries too on display, i dint bother to note the prices coz i'd seen many recommending sanyo batteries here on TE. only thing perhaps that worries me is

a. there is no sanyo service center arnd incase the batteries die in the warranty period

and

b.the full charge time mentioned at the back of the pack read 13 hours. does it take that long for them to charge??

Also since there were these 3 different sanyo battery kits available.. please suggest me which 1 to go for?

i use my camera occasionally, say once a month.i may end up taking arnd not more than 600-700 pics in an entire year.

Get the eneloops they are good,i have 2 pairs and a charger.I use them for my LZ8.Btw it takes less than 3 hrs for me to completely charge them. They have very low self-discharge rate.Sanyo claims a low self-discharge rate of about 15% per year Because of this, they can pre-charge them before packaging them up and expect them to still be close to fully charged by the time you buy them. Given choice from the above i would any day go for eneloops.Try to get them off ebay if there are coupon codes available .I got mine for 500/-(2 cells+Charger).
