Battery backup for router+modem

Hello all,
I have ADSL modem and a Wifi router which need 12V DC suppy currently through AC adapter. I am planning to get a 12Volt battery and connect these directly. What are the devices I need to purchase for the following setup?

1. Batter charger from 230Volt AC.
2. direct (is this okey?) connection from battery to the router and modem.

Is there any readymake setup is available in the market alrady? If yes, let me know where I can get here in Bangalore?

Me too interested in a similar setup, so will watch this thread

Alternate/backup approach is I'll either prepay Tata Photon+ or get a 3G SIM+Dongle (phone and laptop) soon so I dont have to be at the mercy of powercuts that much.
