i've been surfing teambhp forum and most of the people there hav bad experiences of exide batteries.
can anyone tell me the rate for amaron or tatagreen maintainence-free batteries for inverters .also pls mention the warranty period

Dude,

Be carefull about your conclusion. Team BHP is about CARS and battery for car is way different then that for inverter. Get your facts clear.

And an eye opener:

Amaron Battery Complaints

Man Amaron site is sure a putoff it keeps showing a racing car's rear!

Exide all the way. I've been abusing my batteries for quite some years now still no decrease in performance or whatever. :)

Right... but u need to understand that those batteries need maintenance. Hell every battery needs maintenance (Even Inverter battery). I have Amaron in my car and wont say am exceptionally pleased with the same. Get it? Also search on Amaron inverter battery yield nothing, so guess its not common out there, so if there are issues, u r stuck, get it?

Same with tata green, search with inverter doesn't yield anything from tata themselves, so how much confidence would u expect in those brands?

I'm also going to buy a battery for an inverter. We have power cuts upto 8 hrs where my mom lives. SO i need a battery which can provide this long power backup. Whats the AH i should be looking at ?

Will a 150Ah Exide tubular suffice or shall i go in for a 165Ah normal Exide. I'm saying exide because it has been used by many people and a bit more or less, the have been reliable.

BTW i have a local inverter which i bought from delhi, 850VA@Rs 3200  but it worked gr8 for the few days my bro used it.

Also my usage for the three months i'll be there is approx 250 watt so the battery should helpin lasting about 6 hrs at 200-250 watts. :)
