Laptops Battery Problem Toshiba Satellite L640

I have a 3 month old Toshiba Satellite L640 X314A laptop

the laptop battery condition in Health Monitor is showing Fair (not GOOD) and whenever my battery reaches low charge it hibernates without saying a message popup

"Please find another power source"

which i find on all of my friends laptop.

And the battery is holding charge only for one and half hour..:no::no: So i am thinking of battery replacement ASAP. But my doubt is about that popup in windows

What do you people think about Windows 7 not showing that popup???

Is there any setting to enable it or is it due to Battery problem???

does the windows 7 OS came with the lap or not.Check Toshiba website for any updates/patches on the same, try an clean resore OS option under Toshiba>tools option.and check the same again, dont worry as the warranty is valid for 1 yr .If the same problem persists contact HCL service shop in calicut with ur lap/adaptor/set for RMA claim.

Windows 7 came with the Laptop. And Toshiba isn't working with HCL anymore I guess. They moved out and started onsite programs and only servicing via dealers.

I did not get what you meant by..

try an clean resore OS option under Toshiba>tools option

Did you mean Toshiba Assist for Toshiba tools???
