Hey folks,
Looking for a price check on TWS battery replacements in Mumbai. Got the quotes below from a local third-party repair shop (and an authorized Sony service channel). Do these numbers look reasonable, or can I do better?

Questions
  1. Anyone here had third-party batteries fitted for XM4s or 75ts in Mumbai? How’s the longevity?
  2. Is the ₹7 k authorised Sony swap worth it, or are reputable third-party cells generally reliable?
  3. For Jabra, is ₹2.5 k typical, or should I shop around?

my budget is around 5-6k I love the xm4 the stupid sony firmware update cased the batteries to go from 7-8 hours to 1 hour
Same issue with mine also for some reason my left earbud keeps dying faster, stupid Sony firmwares :'(
I did find a open box xm4 for about 8.9k so 7k replacement price is steep I guess

Why hasn't Sony issued an update to fix this?

It's most unusual for this to happen from a reputable company
I believe they did apply a fix and I have seen international stories on reddit of people getting their batteries replaced for free even after years of their warranty expiring but nothing for India, the battery is already ruined

I love the device so much with its noise cancellation, my right one dies 3-4x as fast as the left one and now the case is also starting to lose its batteries, for 7k I get both earbuds and a new case too

If Sony is providing new units as a swap, I'd lean towards that. It's only 3k more compared to replacing the batteries on buds and case. You don't need to worry about existing wear and tear or degraded water resistance due to opening the buds. And we can't really verify what batteries third party shops use. These go into our ears after all. I don't think anyone wants permanent noise cancellation from a spicy battery.
