Battlefield 2: high ping problem

i used to play this game earlier and used to get 70-150 pings on some servers. again i installed the game and now i am not getting any server with ping less than 300

....... can anyone tell wats wrong and i am also not getting much servers ........ is this game not popular nowdays :-/ ....... any indian servers ??

ping isnt related to the game being popular or no.

its related to the routing of your isp to the servers isp. your routing has changed which is a common case here in india & nothing can be done unless u know someone in the server room who can change the routing of the isp.

Actually Ping is related to game being popular in a strange way. If the game is popular, you can expect a lot of people in SG/HK/Taiwan playing the game, hence servers with 75-150 ping. If it is not popular, the full servers are generally US/Europe... hence the higher ping.

One of the other reasons could be that a lot of users have now moved to BF2142.

Check out Singapore :: BattleField 2 :: Game Server / Player Search :: Game - Monitor . COM

This is for servers in SG... I can see a few full servers right now... you might want to add them manually as sometimes they donot come up automatically in the 'In Game Browser'. Also try TW and HK.

ya but what u say isnt correct. ping is always related to routing. the server not being available in sg or hk is a completely diff scenario. it also could be that the sg hk servers are showing up for him but he is getting 300 ping there because of routing issue. its usually the case.

i said popular coz i am getting very few servers ..... i was getting around 30-35 servers yesterday

....... yeah maybe its because of routing
