Beach Resort Recommendations | Konkan, Murud-Janjira

try mtdc @ murud/janjira and golden swan which is at kashid on the way to murud janjira-- have stayed at these places but that was 6-7 years back.

mtdc at alibaug khim beach had tents and they were reasonably priced.

my pick would be golden swan -- excellent food(they ask you before the meal and buy fish/chicken fresh from the market and cook it for u) Its located at a deserted beach.
 
been to nagaon beach last weekend..

pretty much better than kihim beach was my opinion.

currently it's ON season..

had to settle for little inferior quality room due to unavailability.

you may need to book a week in advance.

pretty much the whole area around the beach is into lodging business.

murud-janjira is like 45km from there so you can always travel further if you got your own vehicle and time ;)

head for ganpatiphule -- its not as crowded as the alibaug murud janjira stretch.

if you dont want to travel that much you could try mandua -- if you stand at the jetty at mandua you can see the taj and the gateway of india. there are boats and catamarans to mandua from gateway of india.
 
I had visited Tarkarli last week and it is best beach that i have seen in konkan. It is too far from pune but worth to take a long journey for such good place. we lived in MTDC resort and it is on the beach. Beach is very clean and less crowded.

Had gone to tarkali last Dec.The backwaters at Dev Baug is superb.:)
 
hey i heard that tarapur has good beaches--has anyone been to tarapur? - it also has a nuclear reactor.
