Not an issue, as long as he submits it in his category i.e. regardless of the number of cores he locks/unlocks, if it is a default quad-core 9xx chip, he has to submit it in the 9xx category.
 
one more suggestion

isnt 6870 a better performer than 5850?

then why is it in separate class?

also, gtx 560 is also better than 5850

then again, it goes in a different class

mods can i make a request?

i am currently at my college in bangalore, but i live near delhi, and have my exams till 25th june

can you please extend the dates for 10 more days so that i can participate too?

i'd really like to
 
whenever i try to bench it says the results can only be submitted online. no results are diaplayed offline? what to do?

As of now there are no plans to extend.

Which CPU are you planning to clock? You can always post your overclocks, I'll see if we can get you a participation voucher atleast :)
 
I have a confusion. I have a AMD Athlon X2 1.9gHZ ql-60 laptop and in CPUZ the core speed is showing as approx 950 Mhz while the HT Link shows 1799 Mhz but the core speed keeps on fluctuating betwen 950 and 1850 Mhz. What is the issue ? I see all screenshots have higher values in Core speed but mine is vice versa :S

Also i have this ATI Radeon 3100 graphics (means GPU right ?? :huh:) which i am presuming is some 3rd class vis-a-vis current ones so what category this falls into or it is not even eligible ?
 
^^AMD Cool n Quite is enabled. it lowers the cpu speed when not needed, you can disable it in BIOS.

Plus 3100 is an IGP (Integrated Graphics processor) by no means it can compete with dedicated graphics :P
 
umm I feel 560 and 295 cant be in same class 560 is with 470.

Oh and hey this is a great oppurtunity for ppl to meet up and sli and xfire to the MAX !!! Lets see some tri sli and xfire scores plenty of cards out there.
