just out of curiosity how much is for per person for truecallerNot sure if this belongs here. Still venting out.
I was planning on getting Truecaller family plan, so posted in respective thread for interested people to share. Out of all the interested, I can't forget the behaviour of 1. He said he is interested, but he said he wants to do a trial/POC kind of thing first, and if he is not satisfied with the premium plan, I would have to refund him, bcos last time he used Truecaller he wasn't satisfied with the spam reporting. I clearly told him that removing members from Family plan is not a straightforward task as we do not have that option and need to contact customer care for the same, and I'm only interested in a solid user as I can't be going to-and-fro to customer care and I started responding other interested guys. But this member, he didn't stop. He said he will surely use it, surely take one slot and asked me to include his number, which I did. Then, I started following up multiple times for payment, he started ghosting for many hours, then finally replied saying he is planning to buy his own family plan as his family members are also interested. I was like w*f bro. He then told like if I can give him 3 slots, he would take it or else not interested. I stopped responding him, sent mail to customer care, waited for 24Hrs to get him removed from my family plan.
Lesson learnt: Even if the member is here for a long time, or even if the member has good reviews, though the amount may be small, do get the payment done before any transaction. Though the slot was shared with another gentleman the next day, this kind of Shitty Behaviour wastes everyone's time.
185Rs per slot, in a family plan sharing.how much is for per person for truecaller
Honestly speaking you should've understood and outright declined to include the person when they said they wanted a trial. You're not responsible for Truecaller services.185Rs per slot, in a family plan sharing.
Agreed. Lesson learnt the hard way....Honestly speaking you should've understood and outright declined to include the person when they said they wanted a trial. You're not responsible for Truecaller services.
Also yes, payment first, unless it's a new member with no feedback and you're the one buying I would not pay first in that case and politely ask the person to either ship/deliver first or reach a middle ground of partial payment first.
I agree, hiding price achieves literally nothing but then again so does your point of "knowing when the item was bought and if it was on sale".Personally for me I just want to know when the item was bought and if it was on sale or if such sales would be back etc etc. That's all.
If you won't be biased then again knowing such info becomes irrelevant.
If the terms of seller ( provided before hand) is not convenient to buyer, there is no compulsion to buy.Guys, you are all speaking / thinking / typing / venting / ranting from a seller's perspective. What about the buyer's side?
There are some sellers who will post things such as: complete buyer's risk, or will ship as per my convenience, buyer has to be patient.
I salute your entitledness, also kindly imagine the reason why these people don't get any replies on your threads except for the 10+ self bumps. On each goldarned thread.
This is a Gyan thread, I'm sure it's open to everyone to share their experiences as buyer or seller. I'm fine with shipping as per convenience, most people here isn't in reselling business.Guys, you are all speaking / thinking / typing / venting / ranting from a seller's perspective. If "shipping at buyer risk" is not acceptable , then inform the seller. I did so in some of my purchases and seller was fine with it.This is a Gyan thread, I'm sure it's open to everyone to share their experiences as buyer or seller. What I'm not okay with is shipping at buyers risk, may be they should limit it to local buyers only if they're not open to sharing risk in shipping. The buyer is already taking a risk in buying a used product add to that if it's lost/damaged in transit they're supposed to live with it. IMO Don't buy costly products where seller isn't sharing risk, it's not worth it.
Good on them if the seller is open to other terms but usually i just skip those sale threads. If "shipping at buyer risk" is not acceptable , then inform the seller. I did so in some of my purchases and seller was fine with it.
Again reiterating, if you don't agree to seller terms, move on. Yes the packing is on seller, onus is upon seller to pack it properly, even if it means paying 200 300 higher.I don't support "shipping at buyer risk" at all unless seller has written local sale and buyer asks them to ship anyway.
Packing is seller's responsibility. How can it be buyer's risk if the product gets damaged in transit?
I don't put this in my sale threads. I ensure proper packaging and disclose the courier I'm going to use. Once a courier lost my package. I refunded the entire amount to the buyer. Later the package got delivered to him and he paid me again.
Well, it goes without saying that any seller would always prefer a local buyer to come in person, inspect the product and take it instead of investing time, effort and money for packing and then chasing the couriers for pickup and delivery delays. The seller is also expected to take back the used product if some kind of warranty was offered. Most sellers also have day jobs and offload stuff not in use. I, as a seller don't charge a penny to pack (unlike Flopkart) and any buyer can vouch that I pack really well. But I really cannot be held responsible for any damage during transit which will always remain a possibility. Insurance cover is available with most major couriers so the risk of damage can be mitigated to some extent. It is down to the buyer and seller to agree on the terms but putting the onus on the seller to always share the transit damage risk is wrong. If the seller does not agree to share and the buyer is risk averse, they will need to look elsewhere. If the buyer is willing to take the risk, and most are, for low to medium value products, then its great. I will continue keeping the terms for shipping to be at buyer's risk to encourage a local sale. Recently a buyer bought an item from me and also paid the full extra amount for the shipping insurance. I fully agree that costly products should be avoided unless the insurance cover is availed. What I'm not okay with is shipping at buyers risk, may be they should limit it to local buyers only if they're not open to sharing risk in shipping. Haha this got me. No offence to anyone or the sellers but if you find no interested taker despite the multiple pages of bumps and bumps I think it's fair to consider a reduction in the price unless you're confident that you're selling something which is worth in gold. The irony is "time is money." The more you spend time with each sale thread the more money you lose in terms of its productive value.Guys, you are all speaking / thinking / typing / venting / ranting from a seller's perspective. This is where i have to disagree, surely both the parties are innocent and courier is the cause when it comes to transit damage/loss so why put onus on the buyer to take full responsibility. I personally mention in my sale threads that the risk on transit damage is on me because i don't want someone getting anything from me to feel bad for choosing to do so when they get it damaged/non functional. It is down to the buyer and seller to agree on the terms but putting the onus on the seller to always share the transit damage risk is wrong.
Because as a seller, I am not really liable to pack and ship. The preference will always be for a local sale. That's me but you can always have a different view and set your own terms of sale.why put onus on the buyer to take full responsibility
It is DTDC and they call it as Risk surcharge. I have attached a screenshot from their app. I do not see any mention of used products anywhere but just that the surcharge will be on the declared value (max of 49999/-). Then again I am no lawyer so please do your own due diligence. I suppose it can be availed by anyone who does the booking. Also you've mentioned that you had transit insurance, only the seller can get insurance in this case right? Could you say which courier it was because i couldn't find any reliable couriers that provide transit insurance for used products. If transit insurance is available for used products then the sellers should explicitly mention to buyers to pay for insurance or take the risk , that i feel is the better way to do.
