Donno abt the benq one. Ask nikhil. But in general most contian an extra bezel. U also get the cable to connect to ur soundcard. Plus DVD burning sofware and DVD playback software. And yea screws as well.

Nothing here.... just the drive, a CD(containing Nero Express) and another CD with the BenQ suite...

That comes with ur mobo gf. I got all the accessories i mentioned with my Liteon 1693s.

I bought 2 benq 1640 sometime back for my friends.. No screws.. No IDE cable... Totally stupid..

Why dont they just give us the dvd-lens in a metal can??

Nothing wrong with it per se just that at the same price BenQ is waaaaay better.

LiteOns give terrible burns even at 8x. Now that I have shifted to a 1650 from a 1673S, I can see the difference......

I had too many coasters using the LiteOn 1673S.

i've had pretty bad experiences with Benq DVD writers.....something ~8 writers i had compiled to my friends ... had bad lens.......
these days..i'm recommending LG stuff...

the common things u'd get in a LG box would be

1) 2 screws
2) a IDE cable ( not rounded)
3) a Nero Smart Start CD
4) a Empty CD
5) a Audio cable( optional)
