The BSNB looks like a winner - I will upgrade as soon as I get the RCP1 version of this firmware. I too still use BSLB.

RPC1 are region free firmwares - no locking of hardware to region of the fifth movie disk inserted.

get them here - 1640 is near bottom of page...

Umm, can you enlighten me a bit more on "RPC1" Eazy ?

Region Protection Control. Basically, allowing your drive to play DVDs from all Regions, unlike the RPC2 version, which only allows 5 region changes before the region playable on the drive is permanently set.
