Need some suggestions regarding choosing speakers.......My budget is 10000rs max.....
Initially thot of going for a 5.1 set up (Altec Lansing) but later changed my mind to settle for 2.1. Looking for brands like Creative, Logitech, Altec Lansing
I have three options in my mind
1.Logitech z2300(vvv good looking tho not imp, thx certified, read some decent reviews)
2.Logitech Z-4
3.Altec Lansing(looks very very ordinary, thx certifies, read rave rewiews abt this product)

If music is your priority then get an Audioengine A2. These deliver amazing depth and super rich audio.

Cost is around 10k and totally worth it.

Stereophile Review

You can order these online from Bajaao.com

Otherwise if you're a bass freak then a MX5021 serves pretty fine.

^^not really but the bass is quite tight in mx but mx5021 has also got good mids n highs....
suggestions
1. klipsch promedia gmx 2.1A 72w rms, price 9k odd
these are sexy looking piece offer great audio quality...for music, bass is tight n mids n highs are quite commendable..

2. altec lansing mx 5021 90w rms, price 6.9k odd(i bought one dis week, yet to b delivered:P) quite efficient n great VFM at its price...delivers awesome audio performance tight bass, clear mids n highs.....

3. logitech z2300 200w rms, price 7.5k odd
if u wanna xploding bass take these...these can shake the room....but i found the bass bloated...not tight but boomy rather....and also absolutely nothing like mids could b heard in this set....highs are ok..
so i wudnt recommend it:P

U want 2.1 setup if u r comfy with 2.0 setup audio engine 2 delivers exceptional audio clarity, bass canb felt too.....if u want it for music u can opt for these....

IMO mx5021 for the price n performance it delivers:D

how abt Creative sets.....seen none suggesting them..........
yep MX looks a better choice but looks are also imp(at least for me:) ) in which case MX is just WHACK:no:

are u sure they are below 10000rs?...and do u think i require an additional sound card apart from the onboard scard:huh: ...im looking at MSI X48 Platinam C

^^yep they are around 9.5k odd....mayb less...
i dun get it mx looks cool....gmx rather looks like a space craft:P...
as for the soundcard ny onboard sound suxx with the el cheapo soundcards too eg. sblive 5.1
some board has the xi-fi onboards...dunno if the board u mentiond has tht chip...if it is its more than enough...
else i wud suggest to get mx5021 + asus xonar dx = 6.9k + 4.9k odd
tht would b excellent combo..

and as for creative sets...nothin is good enough at the price range..
i had a creative sbs 580 5.1 tht suxx....now gav em to a fren...n got the mx5021. will get it delivered soon....:D

What say,,about..
Genesis 18 speakers,,they loook reallly coool!
They are available for 6.5k..nearby,,
But i've seen one offer for a second hand one for 1.5k..
Wot,say Is it worth the buck^^^

I have the klipsch promedia gmx 2.1... Very good set, but the quality of the connectors/wiring leaves much to be desired... Very good audio quality though... tight bass and good mids.

Should be around 9.5k.

if you are into music i'd recommend you take a look at the AE2s. If movies and gaming is a priority the MX5021 is also a decent buy and a forum favourite at that. Some ppl have also gone for the Edifier C3s and are really happy about them.

We are still awaiting an expert review though.

i got my mx5021 2 days back.....the bass is tight:D...quality is pleasin....i wud recommend to get mx5021 n a soundcard....wud b a great combo mate...
do some compromise on looks if u want 90w rms of quality;)

Wats wrong with how MX5021 looks??:S In my opinion its one of the better looking pc speakers out in the market. May be some folks prefer the gimmicky look.

Its a very classy looking pair of speakers and the sub looks like it means business. But the most important aspect is the sound quality and its the best 2.1 speaker system ive ever heard. See if u can get a demo as pictures cannot do justice to the way it actually looks like n sounds...maybe u'll change ur opinion.
